Our seasonal degustation may contain raw ingredients, nuts, seafood, meat, and gluten products.
Please inform us of any dietary requirements no later than 72 hours before your reservation date as we will not be able to accommodate any last-minute requests.
Some menu variations are possible for vegetarians, pescatarians, gluten-free and halal however we cannot alter the menu to not include seafood.
If you do not eat seafood, we strongly suggest you reconsider your reservation.
If you are celiac, diabetic, or suffer from any food intolerances, it is essential that you indicate your allergy when booking to guarantee the operation of the service in safety and quality.
CANCELLATIONS
A credit card guarantee is required at the time of your booking to secure your reservation. In the event of a no-show or cancellation within 24 hours, a $100pp charge will be applied.
Guests can reschedule their reservation once within the 24 hours cancellation period before this charge is incurred. This fee is compliant with industry standards and ACCC guidelines. If Akaiito is responsible for cancelling your booking, due to COVID-19 restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances, this fee will be waived.
This cancellation/deposit reflects the cost of seasonal ingredients, drinks, and staffing incurred by us in anticipation of the booking and lost revenue from the empty table.
CHANGING BOOKING
Should you need to cancel your reservation, or reduce guest numbers, we require 24 hours notice, or Akaiito will charge a $100pp cancellation fee. To change or amend your reservation please direct message us via your confirmation text or email us directly at booking@akaiitorestaurant.com.au. Calling the restaurant directly may not guarantee a change to your booking.
SEATING DURATION
All Akaiito Restaurant bookings are for a 2.5-hour duration. This period will begin from the time of your booking. We allow a 15-minute grace period before canceling your booking.
OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINK
We do not allow outside food or drink to be brought into the venue, this includes cakes. However, our Chefs can arrange a pre-ordered cake upon request – please inquire with us directly at marketing@akaiitorestaurant.com.au
CHOOSING YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE
Where you book is where you sit. Please be aware of the differences between Akaiito Restaurant and the Ototo Underground Bar & Eatery. Please refer to the menus online. Akaiito Restaurant welcomes children 12 years and older however please note we cannot alter the menu size and price.
*Please note Sunday bookings are subject to a 10% surcharge and Public Holidays are subject to a 15% surcharge. Akaiito accepts Visa, Mastercard & Amex. All credit cards incur a 1.05% surcharge.
Birthdays: Unfortunately we do not allow outside cakes or desserts to be served in the restaurant. Upon request, Akaiito can however prepare complimentary candles or birthday writing on any Akaiito dessert.
A credit card guarantee is required at the time of the reservation to secure the private dining room. Due to the prior preparation required, cancellations within 24 hours will result in a 50% charge of the Tsukiyo Room’s price. Guests may reschedule their reservation once within 48 hours before this charge is incurred. Please ensure we are notified of any special dietary requirements 24 hours prior to the booking.
